Bonneville OffRoad Racing announces its 2017 schedule

Bonneville OffRoad Racing will be racing again in Utah and Nevada in 2017!

We're not 100% certain on the location of the fall race, but we will be having one. We should know in the next month or two as the decision depends upon the Elko, NV and Salt Lake, UT BLM field offices but we have Vernal secured if nothing else works out. We just hate to run two very similar races in one season. We tried to fit race dates in among the previously announced desert races for 2017.

As with all of our races, we are looking at entry fees under $500 as long as permit fees and expenses remain where they are. This year we are also bringing back season championships, though we haven't worked out the details. The trophies, low key atmosphere, and family friendly environment will speak for themselves as always!
  • Vernal, UT Dinosaur Dash - May 20th, 2017
    • Uintah County
    • short course desert race - 20 mile loops, 7-8 laps
    • free on-site, full hook up camping, local hotel discount
    • Open prerunning!
  • Jackpot, NV Freedom 200 - July 1st, 2017
    • BLM Burley Field Office
    • long course desert race - 45 mile loops, including some tracks we haven't raced in a long time and potentially some new stuff
    • free on-site camping, local hotels and casinos
    • guided pre-funrun
    • Still trying to partner with VORRA
  • BOR Fall Race - September 9th, 2017
    • Options:
      • Wendover, NV
        • BLM Elko Field Office
        • long course desert race
      • Western UT
        • BLM Salt Lake Field Office
        • long course desert races somewhere between Tooele and Wendover
          • Wendover, UT
          • Knolls, UT
          • Delle, UT
          • Aragonite, UT
      • Wellington, UT
        • BLM Price Field Office
        • long course desert race
      • Vernal, UT
        • Uintah County
        • short course desert race
As for the future, in addition to the above options, Grand Junction, CO is looking very positive, I just haven't had the time to pursue it. Nate's done all the ground work on Wellington, and I'm handling Elko and Salt Lake.

Thanks as always for everyone's support!

That's right, another great year of desert racing in the Intermountain west. I am looking forward to it. If you haven't participated in one of our events, 2017 is the perfect year to enjoy the great courses and laid back atmosphere we promote. Come out, bring the family and the truck, buggy or UTV and kick up some dust.
