That's right, it's time for the BOR Jackpot Freedom 250! You heard right, 250 miles of prime desert racing on the Idaho/Nevada border.

This is some of the most affordable, family friendly long course desert racing you'll find in the US. Sponsored by Cactus Pete's and the Horseshu Casinos in Jackpot, Nevada, the pits are just a couple of miles outside of town. Tech and contingency will be held on Friday at the casinos, with a race vehicle parade down US Highway 93 through town. Limited prerunning will take place on Friday morning.

Saturday, June 29th will be race day starting at 9 AM MDST (Jackpot local time). UTV's, Limited and Unlimited Trucks and Buggies will race together around the 34 mile loop.

Registration and other details will be up soon!

Anger Issues will be there fer sure! Let us know, Kyle, if you need assistance with anything before the race. We are only 45 minutes or so away. Will there be a course marking or pre-run? Will that layout be available on a .USR file for the Lowrance?

We are very much looking forward to our return to this race... and "easy street"... NOT! LOL

I'll post the details when I get them but I know prerunning will be on Friday morning, limited to one loop for each registered driver of record. Course marking will start on Wednesday for anyone that wants to come out and help.

GPS files will be available in all the usual formats a week before the race...but are always subject to minor changes. As always, race by course markings, not your GPS!

Anger, Jim will be contacting you for volunteer duties, thanks!

Thanks Kyle. I will link the BOR volunteer request from facebook on the Anger Issues page. I will tag a few people who might be up for it. We can't volunteer (except for course marking, etc) as we will both be racing. We are a long ways away from our normal Baja team so we are short on suits and helmets and hans for Co-dawgs. We might end up seeking out a local racer or two who have their own gear so Lara and I can each drive without riding with each other (it's better that way, ha ha!). I can be reached at 208-251-7932. Name is Ken Leavitt. I will gladly come out on Wednesday and/or Thursday depending on how long it takes.

The race is entirely on BLM land, so it's open to the public. Access is very limited as there are only a few roads into the course, and there is ABSOLUTELY no access on course or within 100 feet of it. Come to the pits on Friday or Saturday and we'll help you find a good spot and direct you how to get there safely.

If you're racing, feel free to camp inside the pits (marked yellow) near the S/F above. If spectating or volunteering, you can camp just outside the pits or at your checkpoint on BLM land.

Let me know if you want to run a checkpoint during the race and we'll get you set up!

Looks like we are "good to go" to enter this race. Just to clarify, above it says "jackpot local time", but the flyer clearly states MST time. The NV border is the change to "pacific" time, so like it says... "lock your phones or whatever... because our phones change from mountain to pacific right at the border. Kyle, if you need help course marking please let me know ASAP. I have put the call out for volunteers and had a great chat with Jim. Many families with kids are heading off to 4th of July activities, so I have not yet been able to lock anyone down for retrieval or checkpoint duties, but still tryin.
