All I ever needed at BB was a bed, toilet and a shower, didn't spend much time in the rooms to care about how nice they were or what size tv they had. Later I ended up preferring Whiskey Petes, it was cheaper and less crowded. Whiskey Petes also had the Bonny and Clyde mobile that was shot up on display once, thought that was pretty cool

That entire area does need a make-over. Hopefully they will at least allow people to use the parking area for their motor homes. Kind of feel bad for all the employees, pretty sure most of them were immigrants who lived in those homes across the way

We used to joke about hopping the fence of that place and going exploring. Im positive there was chickens and goats wandering around in there. Never got the balls to prove it though...

The whole place was garbage. In reality, the only reason Buffalo Bills had any draw for me is because the rest of you dorks stayed there too.

Anybody ever wait in the check in line? That was the greatest example of inefficiency I have ever seen. But, even though they place was awful in many ways, at least they were consistently awful. You could count on that.

I only stayed there to be graced by your presence. 😘

The casino/hotel at Jean was on a similar level or maybe worse? Didn't that one get remodeled in recent years?

Many years ago @Klaus and I booked a room on the top level at Jean just to have it for the Weatherman streaming setup during a race. We walked in the door after checking in and there was a jar of mayonnaise sitting in the middle of the bed. 🤷‍♂️ 🤣

My wife wants our sons first race to be state side... Since they all pretty much suck I told her let's do Laughlin, at least there's nice hotels, cheap and plenty of things to do

Whiskey Pete's has been redone in the last few years. At least the rooms we stayed in. Much newer than Primm Valley was. Stayed in Primm Valley last year, definitely needs a remodel. Floors were wrecked, looked like lots of water damage too. Remember going to Stateline when Buffalo Bill's was new so we could try out the roller coaster. Place was packed, parking was a nightmare. Now it's just a shell. Outlet center on life support. Will it get better when the new airport is built???

Only cool thing about Whiskey Pete's was dressing in my room and walking to the parking lot while holding my helmet. Casino floors just hit different when wearing Sidi's

Sadly we made reservations to stay at Primm valley for the Legacy race last weekend the first room they gave us had some kind of large bugs on the floor and went to the counter to have a room change. The second room was also nasty glad we haven’t unloaded our luggage yet!, When we asked for a third change the manager became rude and said it was the last change period.
we ended up in a smoking room that stank of cigarette and dope I’m a smoker and it even gaged me . P.S I smoke outside away from others. At this point I didnt trust the cleanliness of any thing on the property inc but not limited to restaurants and the ice machines. wWe bought two spray cans of Lysol and sprayed ever surface and the a/c thankfully we weren’t in the room much!!!

Sure wish I had brought our camper or a tent

In between heats at the Primm 300 we went to Jean looking for food and they didn’t have any fast food. We ended up at the gas station.

Well I stayed at Primm this weekend. I’ve stayed in worse places undoubtedly but it was without a doubt a sad state to see the entire facility in. Food was hours to get in with restaurants at about 25% due to no staffing. The rooms were in rough shape with one of our team members staying at Whiskey Pete’s. She complained about the room and was offered a toilet brush to correct the problem:

Pretty crazy just how bad the place was.

Buffalo Bills holds a special place in my heart as I was the first employee hired for there about six months after ground breaking. I remained there for over two years through construction, opening and the first year they were open as a security officer /EMT- it was crazy all the rooms that were there one day and then dry walled over the next day when we came back. All the animatronics it had planned. All the stuff that is no longer there.

That place was packed when it opened. As was the other two and the mall. We used to do sand drags and thousands of people traveled all over the country to race while their family wandered the malls spending thousands of dollars.

Being closed for two years by the time it is supposed to open will cost them hundreds of thousands to reopen. They say late 1st quarter of 2022. I have my doubts since they can’t even get staff for the other facilities right now.

This weekend was also the rose festival in Jean. I don’t know how many of those involved there, stayed in Primm as it is obviously a very different crowd. But if this place was this jacked up with a 56 entry race, I can’t imagine what it will be with a Mint style event. I guess we see next week after Battle at Primm how they handle a couple hundred race teams.
