And I was only there because of you. Damnit. we coulda stayed at southpoint...I only stayed there to be graced by your presence.
I was headed to my room in the Annie Oakley tower a few Mint 400's ago and watched some random guy at 2 AM piss into the ice machine in the hallway. I called the front desk. They did nothing about it.I didnt trust the cleanliness of any thing on the property inc but not limited to restaurants and the ice machines.
Well I stayed at Primm this weekend. I’ve stayed in worse places undoubtedly but it was without a doubt a sad state to see the entire facility in. Food was hours to get in with restaurants at about 25% due to no staffing. The rooms were in rough shape with one of our team members staying at Whiskey Pete’s. She complained about the room and was offered a toilet brush to correct the problem:

Pretty crazy just how bad the place was.
Buffalo Bills holds a special place in my heart as I was the first employee hired for there about six months after ground breaking. I remained there for over two years through construction, opening and the first year they were open as a security officer /EMT- it was crazy all the rooms that were there one day and then dry walled over the next day when we came back. All the animatronics it had planned. All the stuff that is no longer there.
That place was packed when it opened. As was the other two and the mall. We used to do sand drags and thousands of people traveled all over the country to race while their family wandered the malls spending thousands of dollars.
Being closed for two years by the time it is supposed to open will cost them hundreds of thousands to reopen. They say late 1st quarter of 2022. I have my doubts since they can’t even get staff for the other facilities right now.
This weekend was also the rose festival in Jean. I don’t know how many of those involved there, stayed in Primm as it is obviously a very different crowd. But if this place was this jacked up with a 56 entry race, I can’t imagine what it will be with a Mint style event. I guess we see next week after Battle at Primm how they handle a couple hundred race teams.
I stayed for the Mint 2016 and had to go to every floor to find an ice machine that'd actually spit out some ice for my cooler. I really hope it wasn't the same year you're talking about! And I was only there because of you. Damnit. we coulda stayed at southpoint...

The place was just run soooo badly it is actually impressive. But I always had a great time there. (Sigh)
Any casino that welcomes the $50 charter bus turnaround "clientele" is already doomed to fail. Encouraging the very demographic that should avoid "gaming" and perhaps instead pursue "getting a job where you don't have a hair net" is not a valid business plan.Primm is a hole in the wall. Step below Laughlin.
So you're not gonna finish the story
To be fair, how many times have you been trapped shoulder to shoulder with a dozen Japanese tourists reeking of whiskey in the Stateline elevators? Maybe never? I'll take the occasional food poisoning at Stateline over the Villa Marina elevators that took a "nap" for a half hour before a dude with a crowbar pried them open and we climbed out. While trapped I couldn't help but notice the elevators' manufacture date is 15 years older than the hotel itself; yup they bought used elevators when they built the Villa Marina hotelThe rooms make the villa marina look nice!!
