Just curious and looking for some opinions. Building a '76 F150. The plan is to cut TTB outters and fab twin I beams. The question is would you use 3/16 or 1/8 (10 ga) & skin it with additional 1/8 (10 ga)? Any help is appreciated.

It has been a LONG time since I looked at this, but I believe it is fairly common to use .090" material for reinforcement. . .I would choose between 1/8" or 3/16" material depending on whether it's a play truck or a race truck as well as your driving style. . .if you're gonna be jumping it on the dunes then probably 3/16" material. . .
