I don't think BITD ever has had a race in California, maybe Casey could work something out that Sal cannot because of the bridges burned with SCORE. That is not to say that Casey is working on anything, but who knows. I'm still hoping for the Lake Havasu race Casey was working on a few years ago, somebody said they are still trying to make something work.

I personally would like it if somthing could be worked out to have a race run in California City or Gorman, like the old AMSA race's. Could bring a lot of revenue to the towns. But who knows.
