Fun twist to our Chenowth story today. Get a text from a local 1600 racer Kevin Smith. He has my number as his company does work for us on occasion. Turns out he recently purchased DR2 chassis #2(the one my dad helped build and race) and rescued it from a barn in Salton Sea. He remembered reading this thread and felt compelled to contact me, send photos, etc. I thought it was a super rad gesture and has literally made my day....my dad and brothers day too. Thanks again Kevin. Can’t wait to see it restored

I am happy and proud to say we won the overall and 1600 points in a 80s Chenowth 2 seater, in the More series my 18 year old son killed it

Finally managed to get it together for testing. Had a good day in Johnson Valley. Got all the systems shaken down, broke in the new trans and transitioned the suspension settings back to race mode. It’s ready to go in that regard. Now we just have to get the remaining finishing touches complete and get her pretty dress for the big dance next month. One big hurdle checked off the list.

Solid, reportable progress from this weekend. We got about a bazillion little Knick knacks knocked out and got all of our spares mounted. Got our panels painted a couple of weeks ago and she is off to get her dancing dress on Tuesday at Signpros. Starting to get excited. Still lots of little things to get ready but we are right there. Thanks to the whole crew for putting in the effort to get her done.

OK. Gigs up. Here she is all dressed up and ready to go. Cant wait to get down there and link up with the rest of the Chenowth crew. We started loading this weekend and leave friday AM. Are we there yet???

Have to thank the crew(brother, nephews, Dad, MME Marty) for getting us here. Thanks Border Tire for the BFG love, SignPros for the vinyl work and Chenowth Race Cars for including us and help with the livery.

Hello, my name is Jeff Sievers. Tom sievers son. My dad worked at German auto and built the race motors for their race cars and I think he built the motor for this car? I was wondering who your dad is? Thx!

My dad is Jack Martin. This car was originally someone else’s. Its not the car my dad and Mike Lund built in the mid 80’s. Your Dad might have built the motor for that car. The engine in this car was built by former GA guy Don Karraker of DK Machine.

This was cruising around in Cal. City over Thanksgiving Weekend wasnt it??
Indeed it was. If I'm not mistaken we were camped directly next to you. I know a bunch of the crew up there from your neck of the woods and we always plan that trip together
