CLARK COUNTY PUBLIC LANDS BILL,

When: Tuesday, June 5, from 4 – 6 p.m.
Where: Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Rd., Las Vegas
The Bill is available at: https://thenevadaindependent.com/…/clark-county-seeks-feder…
Our issue is the proposal divides remaining public land in Clark Co. between development and preservation. OHV riders and groups are
left out. OHV sport/recreation groups are long time stakeholders. Recreation is a legitimate use of public land having equal footing with development and preservation (DOI Secretarial Order 3365).

To contact your Clark Co. Commission, go to http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/elected-officia…/…/Default.aspx
Left side click on LOCATE COMMISSIONER
Do your part. Email them now so they know there's a storm of protest against this.
Government is a tug a war. Numbers and passion count.

I sent them a letter voicing my concerns and they responded promptly. Good to know they are at least reading public input letters...

Ok , Clark county wants to give the Moapa Indians 41,000 acres , they want to add 293,000 acres of ACECs and there is no racing there and most of the trails will be closed. And the county wants 83,000 of wilderness and we all know that you can't do anything in a wilderness area with wheels . And the reason the county wants to do all that is so the government will give 45,000 acers that would be from jean to sloan . This was all done with out any of the stake holders having any input. The Jean area that the county want's has been used for off road racing since 1968 with the stardust 711 race, and over the years Snore and the Mint and bitd along with the scca and the Ama with district 35 races. The county has no mitigation plan in place for the loss of recreation. This land grab would make the longest track possible racing out of Primm about 35 miles so most all off road races would be lost in the area and have a negative economic impact on Jean and Primm casinos

Are the Martelli’s involved? Just curious, given the “mad media” being media they may be the sport and areas best avenue to get this public. Matt if you read this I’m all in to help: physically, remotely, financially, whatever it takes. Emails, cold calls, billboards, mailers, social media, video. I’m not an expert by any means in any of those fields but I do strongly believe in the principle “don’t bitch without solutions”
