“The cherry on top is Class 11 Showdown under the lights on the short course on Sunday night. $20,000 Purse...$1000 Entry”

^This is from the other thread. But this is the 11 thread so.....

Roughly what can we expect of the Class 11course? An actual short course style track thats relatively smooth and fast and watered? Or a hybrid of sorts like a short version BAP that might have some desert sections and rocks?
How much racing we talking? Lots of laps for an hour of racing? Or just a quick 10 minute race?
Will we need lights on the car to see? What about rear facing lights? Amber and flashing or?
Will we be qualifying?
What kind of start and what determines start position if no qualifying?
Is there an actual pit area separate from the general public that we will be able to camp in?
Thanks! Cant wait!

Was excited about this until SCORE and BITD cars became legal to race. Makes any snore/more car totally at a disadvantage. SCORE cars have been beefed up and allowed to run all kinds of crap so they can finish the 1000. They are not legal at a snore race in class 11/stock bug. Makes it really pointless to even go now. Highly recommend fixing that. I know we won't show now with those rules. They are simply not the same cars at all.

What's so different about the SCORE cars? Longer shocks and different compression rules?

Edit: Just read the other thread.

I don’t see the disc brakes thing being a huge factor, but the close ratio transmission is a game changer. In an open desert race your aren’t going to really rely on brakes to hit everything perfectly like on a short course track, but a close ratio trans makes the car way more drivable over terrain. Are SCORE cars still allowed rack and pinion steering and chromoly tie rods/heims as well?

Grady you are the man. Gordy had a great time in the car with u. Was great time hanging out U almost won the Barstow 250 ( from primm to Barstow). See u soon. Also anyone looking Mauro has another race ready 11 car for sale
