That sucks, a reminder for everyone to add a flameout system and extra fire extinguishers. Disclaimer.... may not have helped in this instance, I wasn't there.

does anybody know what caused it?

They said a transmission fire possibly and when he got out he left the fuel pumps on. Here is some pics I took at Perry McNeil's shop the Monday afterwards.

That sucks big time. What do you do in this situation? Is it a complete loss or can you keep the basic framework and metal parts and start over? Or did the heat ruin everything

Seeing those pics make me very sad,heres a shot of my 1450 class truck after it was pulled out of my burned out shop last april.Thats the same truck thats my avitar,only saved the rear end out of a 140k investment.The fire investigators said it was a battery charger for a cordless drill that brought the place down
