would like to put together a schedule where we could have a decent turn out of C 8 trucks.
MORE, MDR, BITD, SNORE, lets race.......
Its no fun to race alone...win or lose, lets have some fun

Hey Jim...we are planning to race our class 8 truck in BITD for the whole season and hopefully the Baja 1000. Come on out....in fact, the more the merrier.

We are extremely excited about a new class and new competitors and really looking forward to stepping it up to the next level.

Hey Jim, good to see you. We're just about back together now and planning on running a mix this year. (I need to put some local miles on her before heading out to a bitd event). I've got the schedule posted on the website www.the8truck.com

This year looks like the following:
Feb 2 - MDR Barstow
Apr 5 - MDR Barstow
June 28 - Lucerne
Aug 16 - Lucerne
Sep 26 - Bitd 300
Dec 2 - Bitd Terrible's 400

Of course, if the season gets off to a similar start as last year, who knows what will happen...maybe there will be another race truck for sale...I'm kidding

I too, am now welding and grinding at night after my real job.
Ive slacked on "race truck building", since last fall, but now working on it every night.

Maybe, class 8 guys might look at the new series holding races in Rocky Point Mex. (Pro Desert Racing) I look forward to racing in Rocky Point again. soon.

CODE has been having a pretty decent turnout of class 8's, they have had about 5-6 per race, and might I add very competitive class 8's...

We are plan to run the entire BITD / MDR except Parker and Laughlin. Patton is going to have our new motor competed come mid season. We are going to run the other motor and hope for the best in the mean time. 2nd crank!

Jim: SNORE has now seperated Class 8 and Heavy Metal. Best in the Desert still seems to draw the most.

All new 8 trucks look like a tt now days, with rules changing and not having to run a steel cab anymore its a tt built around a stock frame with wheel travel limitations.

Jim,
What ever happened to the "Class 8 Coalition" ?
For those that have never heard of it, it was a closed forum, hosted by RDC, for class 8 racers to post back and forth, about our own questions, like this thread !

the C 8 group just was separeted by too much geographical distance, we could not get more than 2-3 trucks at the same time at the same place.
Now with the fuel costs so high, gets expensive to tow to far places. I stopped using the semi as a transporter because the fuel cost was higher than all other expenses.
Even with the one ton Ford truck, towing costs are brutal.
