Comverting factory spindles

Has anyone attempted to or successfully converted factory Ford steering clevis to use Dana 44/60 spindle and hub setup. This is going on a 68 f250 with 7/8 kingpins. Or used the kartek 2 in weld in stubs on the same front end. They list one for a f150 late model knuckle.
My reasoning for this is I want to switch to disc brakes, retain 8 lug wheels and get a better bearing setup. I know it will be easier to swap out for factory parts off a later model truck. My thinking is that I will have better brake options and the stronger bearing setup.
