Consistency, Consistency, Consistency........

Consistency and patients has been the team motto all season. The S.S. Racing team rolled into Lake Elsinore well prepared for whatever was thrown our way. After the first practice of the weekend we made the crazy decision to change the set-up on the truck completely. After qualifying we were very happy with a 7th place run but overall a more confident driver. Scott Schovajsa was starting to get more comfortable with a better handling truck. Scott saddled up for saturdays race with the same mind set that has kept him in the hunt for the overall championship all season, be patient and finish the race. Scott drove a flawless race and came home 5th with every body panel left on the truck.

Sunday came and with the same consistency that has gotten him this far Scott qualified 7th. With the inversion we were starting on the outside pole next to rookie Justin Davis which I would like to add did and awesome job this weekend. after the green flag dropped Scott started to fade back but stayed within the top five the whole first part of the race. With a lot of luck by the mandatory yellow Scott found himself in second place with only three laps left. When the green flag dropped Scott fell back to 3rd place but was running with the leaders until lap when he lost control a corner, loosing momentum and loosing third place to Dale Dondal. Never the less a great overall weekend with a 5th on saturday and a 4th on sunday we hold our 3rd place in points and gain on the leaders a little.

Scott Schovajsa is not an aggressive driver by any means but has great patients and is doing a great job behind the wheel of the S.S. Racing Unlimited-2

We would like to thank Ronnie, Omar, Sean, Doug, and Jim for all there help this weekend.

Also would like to thank S.S. Constructors, Ringers Gloves, Nogrady Race Engines, Norco Tires, Dailey Engineering, King Shocks and everyone else that was involved.

See you at the next Elsinore race.
