Anyone else following what's going on with Crypto? Are you in or are you scared? Or don't know enough about it? Check out the poll above.

Mass adoption has started and is increasing daily... Tesla bought 1.5 billion in Bitcoin in Jan/Feb and now accepts Bitcoin as a payment method. Many other large companies are investing also. Credit card companies are starting to integrate it. You can buy and sell in PayPal now, Crypto | Buy Sell & Hold | PayPal US
PayPal also launched a Crypto checkout service PayPal launches crypto checkout service

A few exchanges I like:
Coinbase

Binance.us

Voyager (currently a mobile app only)

Here are some channels I've been paying attention to. All of these are usually short 10-30 minute videos talking about the latest news and which crypto's they are into.

JRNY Crypto

Digital Asset News

Sheldon Evans

Crypto is legit. I am not scared of it and I have bought it.

I am not so sure that "it is the future"... not yet anyways.

Though, it likely has the potential to be.

I might jump on the NFT train as a content creator. 3d-models and such could make a decent chunk of change.

My brother just got into it 2 weeks ago and has already made some pretty good money. I'm watching his progress and letting him figure out before I jump in.

To me decentralized crypto represents freedom as it returns agency to the enduser.

i dont measure its value in dollars but in the crypto currency itself. Dollars and mining are the tools to get them.

If I remember right India has gone back and forth on banning it. Plus what does banning it really do? They can't stop anyone from owning it, they can just make it harder for them to buy/sell or use it to buy anything within that country. That won't last in my opinion. This same topic just came up in a video I saw about "what if" the US tried to ban it. With all of the corporations, banks, Paypal, VISA, etc. adopting it do you really think that would happen? Fiat is failing.

I can say India banning it doesn't surprise me. They try to control how much their citizens spend outside their country. My brother sells old car parts to a builder over there and it is super difficult for him to send my brother money. The easiest way right now is through Pay Pal. India wants to keep all the money inside the country.

Heroin and cocain is banned around here. Perhaps the ban is what gives it its value.

Same for crypto. Not sure how exactly it could get banned by any state. You can smoke signal transfer it if needed.

Yes, but not if you are buying it on Paypal. Or buying and holding it in exchanges like Coinbase. You need to transfer it to a wallet that you have the private keys to and then you lessen the risk of getting hacked or the gov taking it... There are many types of wallets. Apps for your phone, browser plugins, writing the keys on paper, hardware wallets like this - Ledger Nano S

If you hold crypto on exchanges some of them have more secure options like Coinbase, they have a "vault" option. "A vault is a great place to store your crypto for the long term. Features include time-delayed withdrawals, multiple approvers, and offline storage." But there is still some risk with that. Kind of like leaving your $ in a bank. But overall from what I've read it is safe to keep some in reputable exchanges. Especially if you are treating it like a casino and trading like the stock market.
