Cv boot help

I tore my 934 cv boot and looking to replace it. I took the hub off and thought I could get the axle out that way but was not succesful. Do I have to remove the axle both from the wheel and from the transmission in order to replace the cv boot. Or someone has a simpler technique.

Pull the axle. Be sure and use your favorite thread lock upon re-installation.

What do u mean pull the axle. I tried pulling but acle too long to come out. Was wondering if I have to take the flange off. If so then I have to take the wheel off and brakes and rotor etc

Disconnect the cv joints from the transmission and hub and remove the axle assembly to replace boot.

Yeah, it's a big messy job. :(

If you already have the hub off. Slide the new boot on the axle, reinstall the hub and slide the boot onto the flange. That way you don't have to mess with the inner cv and taking the axle off
