The longest special in the rally will set the scene for the decisive showdown among the remaining contenders. Dunes are back after several days to separate the best from the rest in an ocean of sand stretching for almost 100 kilometres where time differences can be huge.

Stage 11 shortened, timetable stays the same

January 13 th 2021 - 19:09 [GMT + 3]

The recent weather in the final stretch of stage 11 as originally designed has forced the organisers to shorten the course by about 50 kilometres to avoid the area. However, dunes remain the backbone of this decisive stage, which is going to put the competitors and their vehicles through the wringer!

Despite knowing better it's the second-to-last stage, might be decisive, and Benavites started the day up less than a minute on Brabec. So out comes the tracker.

Benavides has gained 40 more seconds on Brabec as of PK127, after Brabec was up a similar amount at the previous split.

Long stage to go. Fun.

Oooops - the air must have been blue in that car!

SSV ▶️‼️Ramilo carries on without his co-pilot! Following a disagreement on the day’s special, Xavier Blanco, Ricardo Ramilo’s co-pilot, got out of the vehicle after 170 km and refused to get back in, with Ramilo deciding to carry on without him! Fortunately, the co-pilot was picked up by a member of the team and is safe and sound!
