I just purchased a secondhand deaver 9 leaf pack with custom shackles for my F150, not realizing that the 4x4s came with 3" wide stock springs as opposed to the 2 1/2" wides that were stock on the two wheel drives (stupid, stupid!). I spoke with Deaver and they said that the best Idea would be to get a custom pack made for my truck, but that would involve reselling the pack plus another couple hundred bucks. My question is, has anyone ever used 2 1/2' wide springs on their 4x4 (or bronco)?? And how did you accomplish this?

I'd think you would have to have a new front hanger, different u-bolt plate and different shackle hanger since the spring you got is a different width. I think your best bet is selling that pack and just saving up for the correct one for your truck.

I guess that's the best idea, I really didn't want to have to punch out all the rivets and put new hangers in.
