i would like to see this drakart build with a 13 b turbo rotary eng.that would be fun...or maybe even a 4 rotor gtp setup
We are at 202hp and around 90trq with the NA 1000cc motor and we haven't done anything with forced induction yet. We have definitely been talking about it but not sure if its needed. I like the supercharger idea for the torq down low but we definitely have some options if its needed. Endless gearing options too but the end goal is to be around 105 top speed and still be able to pull out of the corners hard. No belt to worry about so thats nice.
is a rubber /spring dampened drivin sprocket utilized?, to lower the transmission shock load?

I'm always leary about using bike motors in 2000 lb cars...not the moto but the transmission and the shock loads like Jon states. They are made for 600-800 lb loads and 1 wheel.

Bob Lee had gear issues with his dwarf car , gsxr motor, finnally found a guy who did the 'bullet proof ' set up i guess on the gears/ dog rings?, that would be an avenue to explore,

I will find out how everything holds up soon but im pretty confident in the setup. I will definitely need to replace parts just like anyone else does in-between races but I think in general it will cost less to race than anything else. Planning to race Mint then the full BITD series next year.

Mark Martin calls it vehicle empathy, some guys can make a car win& they never break stuff, other guys can destroy a car in 1 morning warm up session

Yes we will be in the new trophy class next year. I should have the car at the CalCity race but not 100% sure if I will race yet or if I will just be goofing around watching the race and getting a little seat time.

What's the expected chain life?
for racing im going to replace between every race as regular prep but for play riding I would replace it every season.

So no Mint?
Im still planning to race Mint. CalCity is only 45min away from me so I plan to be at that race for sure but probably not racing it.

Couldn't even get rooms and they wanted $250 for one parking lot spot... in a parking lot thst usually does not charge for rvs.
Nonsense.

Looks like a late motor, those are a seriously nice piece. Here's a couple pics of short track setup I make for that motor package. Really helps Torque big time on the Sport Bike motors. Stock injectors and a set of Alky injectors.

How did the Cal City race go? Looked like a freeway from that moto vid.
I didn't race it. I went with my son to watch. We took our bikes so we could cruise around to a few areas but 3 miles from the truck he crashed and broke his hand. We hung out and watched some racing because we didn't know it was broken yet and he wasn't really in any pain. I'm not sure if I raised him right or if I'm a terrible parent. I guess it depends on who you talk to.
