E40D shifter

I was wondering if anyone has swapped out their on the column shifter for an on the floor type? If so, how difficult is it? I've been on the B&M and Hurst sites, and they only offer floor shifters for C-4s and AOD trannys. Would either of these work for an E4OD?

I put an Art carr (winters) shifter in my 96' ranger. You have to remount the contact switch for the over drive and make a bracket to hold the cable to the transmission pan. You also need to disconnect the switch in the steering column than tells your truck that it is in park so you are able to start it. you may also have to make a new shifter gate plate so 1st, 2nd,ect. are in the correct spots.

Art Carr has them available for the E4OD transmission. I know you can get them from Baja Concepts, Race Ready or through Art Carr direct. You just need to mount a switch for the OD button.
