Eric V. is selling the Jeffries buggy that BJB drove at Dakar a couple years ago. I remember it had lots of teething problems, but when it was running it was fast enough to be competitive. It didn't win any stages but posted some fastest WP to WP times. If Tavo is really interested in Dakar, this might not be a bad investment. It is going be auctioned on eBay starting 3/28.

Jeffries build those buggies for Nasser and Sainz the year before and they won a handful of stages. Those buggies and these 2 were pretty disappointing after a promising first year. Either way, I will watch the auction with interest.

On the raid cars website for sale. There is the VW press Dakar car in Germany that has a roll cage etc. Would it be more economic to ship a caged car from Germany with the Dakar vehicles than put a cage in the RDC Toyota and ship to/from the USA?
Hilux/ Fords are sold in Mexico would Tavo be able work out a deal for a Hilux/ Overdrive vehicle or a Neil Woolridge Ford Ranger to learn the route before undertaking a buggy dakar drive?
The SMG/ Jimcos have been fairly reliable Dakar vehicles if driven carefully.
