What would cause the upper ball joint to be at that much of an angle, it's the same on both sides.

lifted the truck lately?
It's got 3" Fabtech spindles, fox shox. The upper ball joint came out of the socket and I replaced both ball joints, the angle just doesn't look right, honestly I'm scared to drive the thing.

The angle doesn't look horrible but if a cheap Kragen or O'Reilly balljoint was used we wouldn't be surprised if you had the issue. Is the camber negative (top of tire lean in)?

Your not going to get a press in balljoint to stay....that deal looks like there is 0 droop travel and it's maxed out. Bring your preload down a little
