We have added a Class 11 car to Fire Guys Racing! They are two firefighters from Grand Junction, CO who bought a car just over a year ago. I will let them sign on here to add their history and the car they have. Here are a few photo's I have of us getting ready for Baja!

I don't know, some Canadian working on his pre-runner! Here's one more, probably my favorite.

Well on the photo's, I think they have been protected by the guy at our local newspaper so I can't just use them anywhere. He told me I could use them for our website, and self promotion. If any of our sponsors etc. wanted to use them they would have to pay.(he is a professional photographer) As far as the snow, yes, in Snowmass Village we have 60" on the ski hill already and can't wait for Baja!

The photos with the BookCliffs in the background make me homesick. Just got off the phone with someone in Junction, and they didn't even get enough snow to stick on the ground. Nothing like farther north and the higher elevations.

Thanks for the good luck! There isn't a lot of snow in Junction, but it is still pretty muddy out there. Sounds like the perfect practice for this 1000.

I just tried to right click and hit "save as" on those two pictures on the first page and for some reason that seems to work if you want to see those pictures larger.

We should be beginning our drive to So Cal this weekend sometime. Give us a wave if you see us on the road. The Class 11 will be on the road the next weekend.

Yes indeed, the bug bit hard! We have raced in the 1000 in a protruck as drivers and have been in a Wide Open Baja car as co-drivers for Sebastian Bourdais, Rhys Millen, and Roberto Guerrero! It's time to try and do it in our own vehicle. All those races have just been practice up till now! We are using BFG for the 1000, you know where you are going to be? We are #721 and the 11 guys are #1146.

good luck guys! If you need anything stop at the Locos Mocos pit. Actually there will be 3 this year... Two groups will be running pits for Baja Pits and the group I will be with will be picking our spot on the course a couple of days before the race. When you see four yellow and blue banners you will know thats the pit I am at...

Jason, Thanks for posting a pic. of our 11 car fresh from the paint shop (The Powder Shop in Rifle did an awsome job on those flames!).

As far as our history, the car has more of a history than we do. It's Scott Pellerin's old car, Garry Helming and I purchased it from him at PRIMM last year. We ended up winning that race, our first race, with Scott driving the first lap. Gary and I raced it at Laughlin and Primm this year. We had alot more fun than the results showed (DNF's), but we've learned alot in those races. Now our goal is to get to La Paz along with our Fire Guys teammates. Can't wait!!
