I have set up several trucks with fire systems over the years. I just wanted to how others would set there's up.
EQUIPMENT:
I have 2= 10 pound safe craft Cable pull bottles. 2- 5 pound hand held bottles for the outer back of the truck and one hand held 2.5 pound for inside the cab. 2 large fire Balls.
My Plan on this truck:
My plan was to set up two spray nozzles off each bottle, 2 in the engine compartment and 2 heads set up in the back covering the fuel cell along with the 2=5 pound hand held extinguishers. In the cab I would have 1= 2.5 bottle extinguisher and the 2=Large fire Balls you throw into fires that explode to extinguish a fire.

Questioning myself about adding another 10 pound safe craft pull handle system for the cab! Or is this a good set-up? How is your rig set up?

We run 2 fire balls on each of our trucks, 1 above the engine compartment the other below the fuel fill above the cell. Pretty impressive if you need it! They can be purchased through Brandon Arciero, Elide Offroad If you have ever been on fire, you know there is never enough safety precautions!

The fire balls look pretty cool! Can you post some pictures of how you mounted them?

2 5# outside, 2 2.5# inside. 1 small FE36 that i need to plumb and spot for another bottle, that halon bottle push cable went bad. also have the foam set up which will be all engine trans for cooling possible heat source fire. It had an old plastic mount type set up that started to break need new mounts for that, also have to remove it for freezing.. I like the FE/ halon as it goes low and will be sucked up by a fire. would be nice to have one designated for fuel cell area for fuel fill fire. But we all forget there for us to get out. want to get a few fire balls and the flame out or fire slayer tubes one down engine bay and trans another around fuel cell be nice. . The VW bus world really like those. We allways say fire is one of the few things that can totally destroy a vehicle, the rest are fixable.
