Foddrill Buggy VW Beam Spindles.

I'm wondering why a urethane bushing is not used in place of the torrington bearings on foddrill spindles on beam cars. Those bearings become sloppy extremely fast. I feel like a machined busing pressed in would keep the king pin much tighter, longer than the bearings. Why would this not work?

the torrington is much stronger and is almost bullet proof to gauling ,drop spindles eat parts always have
