todd- interesting stuff. too bad the kit idea never went through. could you imagine howmuch sooner the sport would have advanced with everyone playing with the I-beam front in a light weight package like that 30 years ago? it was also impressive to see an average speed of about 50 mph at the 500 way back then. parnelli really was one of if not the best. an old racer friend of mine once told me that parnelli really was the fastest guy out there, bar none, he just didn't want to conform with the rules of the time. sounds a lot like robby gordon.
