I just went and picked up my rear end, its out of a 1974 f100
Could anyone tell me if it is "Big Bearing" or "Small Bearing"
and any other info you might have
pull it apart, it took me 20 minutes. You will also know how many splines its got (28 or 31). to find your stock gearing, turn the pinion manually, and count.
You have to check out the Housing end dimensions. A large bearing Ford rear end will have 1/2 inch bolt holes. A small bearing Ford rear end will have 3/8 inch bolt holes. Large bearing the measurement from the left top bolt hole to the right top bolt hole horizontally will be 3 1/2 inches. Small bearing the measurement from the left top bolt hole to the right top bolt hole horizontally will be 3 5/16 inches.
Or you can just call Currie Enterprises. 1-714-528-6957. They can look it up and tell you in a matter of seconds. However you might have to wait on the line for a while.
