Does any one know any specs on a 9" out of a 1983 lincoln continental? (i.e. width disk to disk or flange to flange). Looking to put this in a Class 7s Ranger. Thanks.

Re: Ford 9\"

Try the Lincoln Versailles+1" per side, the Lincoln Continental its about +2.5" by side. The Rule state (Yes Right!!) that width it have too be +/-1".
Itsnt the 83 a 8.8"??? Better try the Explorer 95+ its the same type with 31 spline shafts and a better R&P 3.55-3.73- 4.10.

We currently have an 8.8" out of a 95 mustang. Want to try and get away from the c-clips, plus the axle tube is bent a little near the left spring pad. I've seen the c-clip eliminators, but thought might as well go with a 9" if we're going to buy a new rear end.
