Unfortunately, TORC: The Off-Road Championship will not hold events in 2018. We will, however, continue to evaluate future opportunities for TORC. We remain grateful to our drivers, partners, and fans for their support and wish everyone a great racing season.

What a BLOODY Shame.. So much talent, so much MONEY, so much effort, so much dedication all come to naught.... It's been 10 years since TORC was born in the ashes of CORR's implosion. We all remember it well, when suddenly there was no short course.

A solid Salute goes out to "TOO HIP" Ricky Johnson for having the Ba**s to be the first to Organize the drivers, the sponsors and the teams back from the grave to begin something new. That something new became TORC.
Thanks man you were the catalyst to rebuild from nothing and keep it going for a very long time. And to Mike Jenkins you built the boat that would carry it and entertain thousands and keep peoples jobs for years. The names and the faces of all those who built this series from scratch and busted their asses still flash from day 1.

It wasn't long after RJ's innagural event "The Off Road GP" that LUCAS threw its hat in the ring and so the division began from what was once a unified off road community. It's been ugly, dirty and mean spirited at times, hell most of the time but the Racing continued and the spirit never changed by those who touched the tools and the wheel. Only those touching the $$$. Although we may have our differences, when the flag drops, the hammer drops asses get off their seats and we are all one again. -- GOOD LUCK TO ALL who have participated. It's been a helluva show.

The division sucked... but from a marketing standpoint TORC sounds soooo much cooler than LOORS...

Red Bull Global RallyCross is also shutting down the 2018 championship. Lots of problems - like people and tracks not getting paid by the series. But FIA World RallyCross 'organizer" IMG is putting out a new series called ARX (americas rallycross) with VW/Andretti, Subaru, KenBlock, Loenbro Motorsport and Honda HPD all signed. Races are going to be held at WOrldRX venues in Silverstone (U.K.), Circuit of the Americas (TEXAS) and Trois-Rivieris (CAN).. Plus a rumoured track in Charlotte.
Not the best year for US short course series.
