planning my full tube chassis mini tt build and am wondering if i make my bulkhead out of 3/16 1/4 and 1/8 cold roll would i be ok using 4130 for the chassis or should i use dom?? i understand that dom cages when properly designed can provide very similar integrity but i want some input before i purchase 300 feet of tube. thanks

If you plan on racing the build, then 4130. All it takes is one good hit and the chassis is tweaked with DOM. 4130 will limit the damage where you would only need to cut out a few tubes.

u think 4130 tubes would be ok with a cold roll bulkhead?? all suspension components are going to be 4130

That is alot of money to spend on the rest of the vehicle, make the bulkhead 4130 as well. DOM has its place, but TT chassis/suspension (mini or not) is just not it. The cost of DOM is not enough less to justify the sacrifice. As Wild Bill mentioned, a good hit or a roll-over can damage or tweek complete 4130 vehicles.
