I just saw a commercial on channel 13, that they are doing a story about Glamis tonight. Most likely not a positive one. Tune in tonight at 10pm to see what kind of emails we are going to have to send in!!!
Now, I dont think that this should come as any surprise to anyone. Jus reinforces the fact that we as off roaders need to police ourselves and act responsibly. All the eyes are upon us. If we fail to do so, and we lose it all. Dont give them any reason to close down the dunes or any other place you love to ride. Anyone who has been to Glamis on a large weekend knows what we are talking about so dont bury your head in the sand. The media will grab any sort of story like that and run with it. Dont think that they would ever run a story about the families and individauls who do go out and enjoy our desert responsibly now do ya? Not very newsworthy is it?
TV media is nothing but reporting of BAD or NEGATIVE happenings (murders, shootings, high-speed chases, strikes, and other crap!). I try so hard to avoid the news but usually see these reports when trying to catch the weather or "special" reports like last night. Too bad..but that is what the public (in general) wants to hear about.
i tried to tell you guys this a few weeks ago. since the weed is not as endangered as originally said, they are now trying to portray us as lawless heathens with no regard for public safety. this is purely PEER at work, they have changed the angle od attack because we are smarter than they thought, we got our own biologosts to poke holes in their planr theory, but we can't refute our own actions at the dunes. some think it is cool to act like a$$holes in the sand. they are personally nailing the lid on our coffin!
