Dave Simpson here. Been around the dirt for just about 50 years. I went my first Baja 1000 in 1971 with my Dad to pit for Malcolm Smith in El Rosario. Back then the pavement ended just South of Ensenada. My first race was the 1977 Baja 500 - I was 17 (had to get a notarized permission letter from my Mom). Through the years I have won a few and lost a few - but the friends and the memories keep me coming back. I have raced open buggies, trucks, baja bugs and motorcycles. I dont do so good in the right seat. I have been vere fortunate to make a living in this industry. Some might remember me as "Rancho Dave" - now Im the Director of Powersports for advanced FLOW engineering. If anybody ever needs anything they are always welcome in one of our No Bad Days Racing pits.
