Looking good! We should meet up again bsing about trucks and maybe have a few beers. I actually moved over to vista and have my car out here if you ever wanna come by and check it out!

Yeah, definitely. I will get in touch with you in the next couple of weeks.

Not really on topic, but I have been busy playing with my new toy that I picked up on Sunday......\m/

It is a hell of a lot more fun than driving around my diesel Silverado everyday......

Just working on final assembly and plumbing. I got all of my parts back from powdercoating, and then I just need to finish up the wiring. Here are a few pics of my storage box, which had compartments for my compressor and fluids

Looks AWESOME! Just make sure you have a way to tie everything down or that pretty box will be trashed with anything that will rattle or bounce around in there. Top, bottom, sides will be destroyed by even the lightest items bouncing around. Ask me how I know...

The compressor is bolted to the box, and the fluid containers are jammed in there really tight and can't move around. All of my tools/spares are in bags, and I plan to fill up any dead spaces with rags or other soft stuff. I had CRB make the sides and bottom out of pretty thick aluminum (skid plate thickness), so hopefully I will be OK. Definitely don't want to trash my pretty box :)

Looking good, is there a finish date?

Some day? :D

My plan is to flip it around in my garage next week and start pulling the engine/drivetrain, cutting out the core support/inner fenders, etc. I also need to thin out the stock wiring harness and get rid of all of the unneccesary wires and get it ready for the new engine.

Realistically, I hope to be able to drop it off at H&M about this time next year- I want to have the new drivetrain in and everything all wired up. I want to save up enough $$ to have them finish it completely.

Not exactly sure on the engine, but LS-based. I may go with a LQ9 to save $$ in the short term and then put in a more built motor in a few years. Trans will be a 4L80E. And yes, I am getting rid of 4WD.

When I am ready to pull the drivetrain you and Jeff can come help me :)

Thanks! How is your truck coming along? I haven't been up to H&M for a long time to see it......
Nothing too crazy to report, lots of painting done now. That and ready to send lots of stuff to powder coat.

I finally had a chance to pull my front suspension off and the seller I had lined up didn't work out, so it is now for sale:

I have a complete front H&M kit for a 97-03 4WD F150. It includes everything needed to run the kit except the shock hoops, with a few custom items as well. All of this cost over $7,500 new, asking $5,000.

H&M Kit- boxed lower arms (one is brand new due to hitting a rock, but nothing else on the kit was damaged) and aluminum upper arms, spindles, tie rods, limit straps, all heims/uniballs etc. Spindles have been built for Wilwood calipers and 13” rotors.

Shocks- King Prerunner series 2.5” coilovers and 2.5” triple bypasses

Axles- Custom longer axle shafts to fit the 5” longer arms, includes all CVs/boots

Unit Bearings- almost new Timken units, converted to 5x5.5 bolt pattern and 5/8 studs with custom aluminum center caps (If you want to stick with the 5x135mm bolt pattern, just keep the stock unit bearings)

Brakes- Wilwood Forged Superlight calipers, Wilwood pads, 13.2” rotors, brakelines

I am selling this as a complete kit only- I won’t separate. You can see many pictures on my build thread here.

I also have an 8.8 front diff that has been re-geared with 4.88 Yukon gears by MIT Drivetrain that I will sell together with the kit or separately - $350, which is cheaper than the labor alone to re-gear yours.

I have had a few requests about selling the kit without the shocks, so if anyone is interested I will sell everything but the shocks for $3,800. I will only sell the shocks separately after I have sold the rest.

Not totally. I dont want to push the motor back that far. I am just going to have to wait and see- mount the motor and then build the suspension around it.
