Happy new year to all. Thought I would share my little experience with everybody in my newly owned Blazer. Was going to have a safe night out at a friends to bring in the new year and on the way Julie and I turned onto Beach blvd (from yorktown) The right rear wheel studs sheared off and the tire went bouncing down the street (4 lane street for all of you not familiar with HB) and we slide side to side for about 60-75 feet. When I was finally able to stop the truck I jumped out and grabbed the tire that after hitting a huge sign was bouncing back through traffic towards my truck. Grabbed it and threw it into the center divider. Then took a breath LoL. Called triple A and they had a police officer called so that we didn't get creamed from a drunk driver (thank god) and got it towed to a my friends house.

Luckily, all I had to replace was 6 studs and lug nuts, a whole brake assembly, and shoes - and the truck is mobile again - good thing for 24 hour auto zones huh?

Look at me, I can fly

Was it a new Blazer or an old full size Blazer? Were the lugs loose? Lugs on Backwards?

its a 90 full size blazer, and the lugs are capped so I counldn't have them on backwards. I am assuming they were a little loose but I have since checked all the other lugs.
