My Parents Dave & Linda Shoppe just bought the last tuck they had built back in the early 90's from Mike Coleman a few months ago .. Mike did a beautiful job restoring this historic truck and my Parents where fortunate to be able to buy it from Mike .. After some thought my parents decided not to hide it in the garage but for our family to rejoin the off-road racing family and race it in Class 8 .... We WILL be racing Class 8 at the 2022 Parker 425 race and will be looking forward to seeing you guy's and lets have some fun at Parker !!!!

Evens are you running Parker?

I think todd Richards will if the group goes that way. He is 1. The shoppe truck is 2. I am 3. Conrad Diaz has indicated he will go with the group so that would be 4. Are you gonna be 5?

Who am I forgetting? Oh, 12lapaz. Art do you wanna be 6? This would be over the hump to 10. I hope that if we can get 6 committed then I think 2 or 3 more will jump in. We just might get to 10.

Parker is a consideration my hopes were to run the SNORE series. I had recent neck surgery on T3-T7. I'm working with my neurologist and am starting therapy soon.
I will be 62 at the start of the season, over the years my son and good friend drove the trucks I owned. This truck was to be my bucket list truck for me to race. As family and friends have gotten older and have families many don't have the time or energy for the sport. I will not have the same pit support or help prepping as I did in past years. (15 to 18 guys covering 3-4 pits) So I will be looking to race SNORE where I will team up with other racers I have known for years who run in verity of classes. I will run class 8 if others enter or TT, 1450 or sportsman. This is all if I'm cleared by my doctor, if not I will help others like I have been for all these years.

The count going to Parker is a solid 10 or 11 right now. Some are not going to make it and some will also show up out of the blue. I also know there are 4 more maybes not counted in the 10 or 11. We could be getting close to 15 by January. 👍

It’s gonna be a show off road racing has not seen in probably 20+ years.

Me? No, I believe Zuckerburg is an alien spy, sent to lower our collective IQ to that of boiled spinach. Klaus, however, was sent here to cure cancer and help reduce global warming with big clouds of dust over the southwest.

Don’t tell Scott, but it’s the same software behind the curtain. I just use a tinfoil hat to protect my brain.

We have a 8100/Stock Full truck and met last night to discuss 2022. Parker is on our list and we're considering trying to run class 8. We'd be be down on power and suspension but when we ran Class 8 at Vegas to Reno a few years ago we ended winning the class through attrition. Put us down as a maybe. We have a lot of work and a few races to complete before Parker.

Damn

a bit different from the 8100 I know

BAD ASS
Thanks for posting some pics @kyle_pc_75. Here are a few more @92OCHO

Certain races we have decent speed. Enough to finish on the podium in Class 8. Others we have absolutely no right running up a class. Peninsula Runs, Vegas to Reno, lots of silt, mountains and high speed stuff is great for us. Whoops? Not so much. Mint 400. Anything that involves a lot of San Felipe etc. I think our average speed on last years loop 1000 was almost 12 mph slower than the previous peninsula run speed. We've never raced parker but think it would be a fun one to try and if we race up we made add camburg long travel and some air bumps up front. We've finished about 80% of our races over the last 10 years so patience is definitely a team strong point in the rough stuff.

Meet with my neurologist pursuant to my neck surgery 6 weeks ago. Reviewed a new new MRI and its determined it is advisable i not race my newly built Class 8. So it for sale, listed here on race desert.
