I don't know what they are racing, but I do know they have purchased a lot of fuel for the weekend. I assumed they are doing a little pre Baja 1000 testing. Maybe an insider can shed some light as to what the boys' plans are.

Talk was to race the prerunners, the Trophy Truck is in a miliion pieces getting a full prep for the Baja 1000. Riviera called me and asked if I could make it down in my prerunner, but I will be on a cruise on those dates and could not make it. If the Herbst and Riviera race there prerunners my money is on Mark Post's Hot Rod.

Klaus and I will be their ready to have a good time, O ya and film and take pix.
See you out their.

For those of you who haven't been to a CODE race they are awesome!!! It is the same atmosphere as an MDR race, but the excitement and party nature that is at the mex races, very good combination. Plus their will be some big names down their that wouldn't normally be their because of the Town's anniversary. It will defiantly be a good time for all.

Hope to see all of you out their.

Can't agree more. Just like a MDR race but in Baja. CODE races are well organized and the course markings leave no doubt. EJ Saldana crossroads is the best place to be. And easy to access from Hwy 5.

Based on the fact that the Vildosola TT was wrecked badly testing at Plaster City a few days ago, I would say that IF Vildo is going to run, it will be with the prerunner!

Re: Herbst, Vildosola and Post at CODE\'s Oct 11th race

just to remind ya all that on race weekend (oct 11th) the city fair is also happening, over 20.000 visitors a day, and around 30.000 on race weekend, so if you coming out, race or no race, im sure youll have a good time. The Terribles Casino where the contingency, start drawing and awards ceremony will be held, is inside the fairgronds.....

have a nice weekend

Re: Herbst, Vildosola and Post at CODE\'s Oct 11th race

I just talk to some one near to Gustavo Vilssoola and he toll me that Gus its going to race on the TT on the race, if he have some more problems on it he will have another fast truck to run on it (Another truck, not his Prerunners).
Right now they have like 108 entries all ready, with some more big names like MARK WEYHRICH, JASON JERNIGAN.

It ill be great if theres more people coming to run in this race, there a few big names that are going to race this one with there Pre runners on the Open truck, this class its the TT or the If it have a truck body with the most mods on it and nobody wants to race with you this its your class, and its a PRO Class it will have some money involve on it.

Let me translate that for you.

This CODE race is really going to be fun. As you can see in the attached spreadsheet, there are a lot of entries in every class. This is "Classic Mexico" racing at it's best. If you have never raced in Mexico, this is the race for you. The guys at CODE are awesome and very helpful. If you are tired of beating you brains out around the same little piece of BLM Land near culturally arid Barstow, and seeing how far you can jump your two-tone "Prerunner" no longer gets your short ones up, then come test yourself where it really counts. Racing in Baja! Spectating is user friendly and where else can you get such good food and beer on any corner?

Re: Let me translate that for you.

Runor has it down here that the Vildosola team is working overtime to get the truck ready in time for the race, and there was some coments that several 12 cars that race FUD races would be coming down too, only rumors though. its gonna be a very nice race.
All events will be held at the City's Brand new Fair Complex and they get about 20.000 people per day on weekend, so get in early, and we do have like a 3 to 1 chick-dude ratio.

good luck to everyone coming down racing or not. We will try to find a spot right after the saldana check point for our main pit and carne asada, any RDC crew check in, free beer (knowing Klaus, id rather say some free beer) and all you can eat..
