Hilborn injected Type 1 VW

just bought a new engine for a killer price. it is a 2180 with fuel injection set up for alcohol. I plan on running gas, but i'm thinking the driveability of the fuel injection wont be too great. Its more of a drag racing thing.
Does anyone have any experience with this injection? might sell it and run dual webers.

Run webers. Mechanical FI works great WFO. For just driving around, not so much.....

Yeah thats what i meant by the driveability wont be too great, figured it would be on/off.
I was already planning to pull it apart and check it out even though it has never been run. I want to check the deck height and cc the heads to see what the cr is.
anyone want to buy a hilborn setup?
