2017 Jeepspeed Race Dates, Championships, new classes, plus an open wheel and tire race .

Hello Racers,

Here is the news for 2017 General Tire Jeepspeed Challenge presented by KMC Wheels.

2017 Jeepspeed Championship. Our Championship will be the professional 2017 Best in the Desert six race series in Nevada and Arizona . www.bitd.com Your best four results will be used to calculate your year end position. You must participate in a minimum of 4 events.

There will be 3 divisions of the Jeepspeed Challenge. Classes 1700 (6 cyl 33" tire) , 2700 ( any Mopar/Jeep engine 35" tire), and 3700 (open class, any Jeep or Dodge, any motor, 37" tire). There will be 3 division Champs but the one with most points will be the Overall Champion. Details at www.jeepspeed.com

****We were asked for it. .....Run What You Brung open wheel and tire race,

In addition to the Jeepspeed Series there will be a non points "Run What You Brung" Jeepspeed open tire race in Barstow, California July 15th. This will be the MORE Night Race. The event will permit any Jeep or Dodge to run with us once next year. There will be no mandatory or restrictive rules but open to any Jeep or Dodge running any make or size of tire, any chassis. Just run what you brung. Open to all Jeepspeeders, Rock Racers, KOH teams, Desert Racers, Short Course Jeeps, Rally Jeeps, vintage, etc..The field may be subdivided based on tire size. More details to follow regarding sponsorship and awards. Now pass this on to all those racers that have been sitting on the fence in other series so they can enjoy the Jeepspeed Experience. Yes. The Cummins are legal in our series in Class 2700 and 3700. The classification will depend on how extreme the chassis/frame/suspension build is. Check out our rules www.jeepspeed.com. The 2016 rules show class 3750 and 3700 but in 2017 3750 becomes the new Class 2700. But anything goes at our Run What You Brung race next July.
