I have a 85 cj7 I am thinking of building for jeepspeed class 1700 but I can find anywhere if the cj7 are alloyed to race in that class any info would help. thank

Thank you for your interest in Jeepspeed. You can build a CJ7 six cyl for Class 1700 or V8 for Class 2700. It would take extensive modifications to be competitive,
You can stretch wb to 105" in 1700 and 119" in 2700. Go to www.jeepspeed.com for all rules. Apply the YJ rules as we did not cover CJs.

Ok cool I just didn't see that cj7 were allowed that why I was asking. So would I have to run the leaf springs or could I switch it to shocks to run in the 1700 class. And it has the 4.2 liter engine that ok to

If you are running a CJ you are stuck with leaf springs in 1700. 10" front travel 12" rear. Shocks can be 3" smoothies or 2.5" bypass. You can run the 4.2 motor with any carb or you can switch to late model 4.0 with fuel injection.
