haha seriously, good point. What a waste of time and never ending argument. Nobody wins this debate about which course is worse.

So I will leave it alone and the guys in there little limited cars can go as many miles as they want.

To this point courses change all the time. I have said I think last years KOH was made worse by the rain. When we started our pre run before the rain the course was fine and not nearly as bad. So it could be no big deal this year.

And its different for every racer. I have gone thru areas in the past that I thought were crazy rough to later go thru with more speed and it was no big deal. So many variables.

I think its fair to compare courses if we are using that as a metric for how many RM's we are going to run.

If the course is twisty and rocky for 84 miles, maybe just the two loops is enough. If its fast and flowing lets do 3 @ 84.

Agree if the person has raced the courses they are comparing

UTV and and EMC race the first 2 laps as is.

I am on the fence giving 4800, 4500, and UTV Sledge and Jack.

I drove every mile of the race course this year. I backed 3 times in 250+ miles....but also flopped (and drove out of it) 3 times on the plaque line...going down :) Sledge is angry right now

I am talking about the hill climb on the back smaller loop out east. I personally did not see it but the boys still to this day say they have no idea how anyone got up that.

I think the hill to the left of hammer town as you look north is Hearbreak ridge. We came down that in qualifying last year. For us it lived up to its name as we got a flat coming down in qualifying last year.

Really one of the main challenges with this course is the blind crest you go over with huge rocks on the other side. What we need is a race truck drone that comes out and shows you the other side before you go over it. Most of our truck damage come from these obstacles.

We replaced more bent tubes after last years KOH race than we have done in the 3 years we have raced our truck.

Mike

Yeah that hill was steep but everything that raced it walked right up it. Talking about the hill before you drop down onto the dry lake.

That place eats cars for lunch. Last time I was out there a new 16 car got broken in half. Like Larry "Hacksaw" Reynolds-style. That said, the more laps the merrier! I'll be spectating.:p

I am bored at work so here's another 2 cents.

If that 50 miles isn't good for limited race cars lets do prologue + 3@84. Fin.

I don’t think you guys fully understand Dave’s idea of a good time.
I have a feeling, (I’m probably wrong) that he’d call it a perfect race if everyone had downtime and 5 trucks finished.
This is the King of the Hammers week after all, it ain’t known for being easy.
Personally I’d take what he’s serving up and no way I’d ask for more.
I agree with this 100% as soon as you say it wasn't that tough... Dave says HOLD MY BEER watch this...lol
