Im thinking about getting some deavers for my 92 f150 to replace the stock springs. Besides the leaf packs, what is required to mount these things? Do i need new perches/hangers? How about flipping the shackle like on a ranger? Not to familliar on how to set up a rear leaf suspension.
Thanks in advance.

the shackles do not need to be flipped because they come from the factory pre-flipped on F150's.

GOD BLESS AMERICA! and hopefully my poor truck too.

Thanks for the replies, I crawled around under my truck and figured out that the shackles do come flipped stock. What is the purpose of running the longer shackle? Is it to allow more travel, or to take some of the lift out of the rear? On my truck it looks like I could run a 3 or 4 inch longer shackle before it would hit the under side of the bed floor.

the longer shackle helps out because the spring has a lot of growth, the shackle allows it to cycle through all the travel with better shackle angles. and it also brings the back down a little. 2inches longer is about right.
