Lucas Oil and driver Carl Renezeder will
introduce NASCAR fans to Championship Off Road Racing

Indianapolis, Ind. (March 21, 2003)—Lucas Oil, the title sponsor of Championship Off Road Racing, will sponsor a NASCAR event for the first time this weekend.

The Lucas Oil 250, a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event will take place on Sunday, March 23 at the Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield, California.

Pro-4 and Pro-2 driver Carl Renezeder will present his Lucas Oil truck and transporter at the NASCAR event.

The Renezeder Lucas Oil transporter will be the focal point at the street faire on Friday, and it will be placed at the Spectator entrance on Saturday and Sunday, according to Tom Fredrickson, Director of Motorsports with Lucas Oil.

Renezeder’s truck will also be on display in the infield during the weekend.

Lucas Oil Products sponsor over 200 race teams nationwide. They are the Series Title Sponsor for four major race organizations, including Championship Off Road Racing, the NHRA Sportsman Series, the International Hot Boat Association and American Tractor Pullers Association. They are also the Official Oil sponsors for the USAR ProCup and Xtreme Dirtcar Series. Lucas Oil also backs drivers from Canada, England, Australia and Germany.

The Lucas Oil 250 can be seen on Speed Channel Sunday at 5:00 p.m. EST

this may not be desert racing, but will be great for our sport across the country, desert or short course. i hope they let carl take that thing for a spin!
