Will judges need video and photographic support in their decisions?

Hey I've never been to lucerne valley before so I dont know whats up there?
how many pits does this course have?
& is there a pit at the Wall?

I really wanna take pics at the wall, but I'm kinda going to support raffo & wonder if I could do both?

The question about pit at the wall, There will be pleanty of people there, but not sure how good the help will be. You can put your pits anywhere around the course, there are no marked areas or marked out areas. If you have people at the wall, plan that it will take extra time in trafic to get in and out of the area, and they may get boxed into a parking spot.

How much of an advantage is it to have GPS at this race?

A GPS for this race is more of a convenience than anything. The course is well marked and worn in…well, except for the two new virgin sections from mile 1.5 to 1.9 and 6.6 to 9.3. These two sections have been additionally marked with orange ribbon but there are no berms yet at the turns. Everyone should definitely prerun these two sections, several times.

A GPS, assuming the display is large enough to read while you’re driving, can help alert you when turns, danger spots, pits, road crossings, and check points are coming up. In addition, if you break down, crash, or need medical attention, you can provide your chase team or the MDR staff with your exact position, assuming your chase team has a GPS too.

Good luck at the race!

It looks like I will be manning CR Films roaming camera for the race so do you have anymore filming spot recommendations other than the wall and mm13-20?

24.5 to 25.4 has some really tight and twisty stuff in a shallow canyon (good overhead shots).
26.8 has a gnarly off-camber drop off (someone may roll).
31.6 to 32.9 is a fast 100+ MPH straight section.
33.8 to 34.2 has some good sandwash action.
36 to 39 is another fast 100+ MPH straight section.
39.1 to 40 has a slight hill climb that get’s a bit rough and slow (passing/horn honking secion).
42.6 has a cool little hill.

Are those 100 mph sections in a Class 1 or 300?
