Man I hate thieves. We should should chop their hands off like people did in the 1800's. People would seriously reconsider stealing if they knew they could possibly loose a hand over receiving a simple slap on the hand like they receive now
I had three full suspension mountain bikes stolen off my vehicle at the Wynn within a few months of the Wynn opening for operation. The perp cut four heavy cables like they were butter, loaded the three bikes in their truck and was gone in less than 30-seconds. The Wynn had the entire theft on video as I was sure to park directly in front of a security camera. Casino security claimed they could not make out the licence plate number of the perp's vehicle to which I replied "Bull-$h!t" (A multi billion dollar casino & hotel with a security system that can read the label on your tennis shoe, claims they cannot read a licence plate on a vehicle 30ft away and directly in front of a brand new security camera.) The Wynn refused to relinquish the video to myself or the police. Security informed me and the police officer it would take at minimum, a court court order to obtain the video. And that is only if the Wynn chose to acknowledge the court order. Casino's don't want videos circulating of thefts taking place on their property.

I would like our jack and jack handle back. We we broke at RM49 and BITD escorted us out of the area but we had to leave the car. While it was out there someone took the jack and jack handle. We think it was a racer that needed it at the time. I think this because nothing else was borrowed. All tools, cameras, lights etc. remained on the car untouched. I don't mind that it was borrowed I just want it back so I don't have to fab up a new mount etc.

Chasethistoo- I know there is a floor jack that was turned in at the box van late Saturday night by a retrieval crew. I am not sure it is that one though. Call BITD and let Diane / Casey know. The collection of stuff that fell off or was found in the desert for this race is unlike anything I have seen before.
I dropped TT#33 screw jack off at BITD this morning as well as a jack handle for a 6100 truck - Forgot the number it had written on it. BITD has 2 truck loads of tires and wheels as well as other parts coming back this week to the warehouse.

Might be my jack as well ! we lost are Jack in the race but the Jack is cheap compared to our Fire suits, Carbon fiber helmets, Hans, gloves, shoes, and nomex undergarments !!! haha and the $500 the rent a car company wants to charge me for the window!!!
