It's not the $25 bucks but the larger issue of our rights. Are you blind? You honestly couldn't see the real issue here?

We all saw what happened when we can't police ourselves like the tragedy at the MDR race. Now put the Cal200 incident on a much larger scale with 100x more spectators. I'm sure the BLM doesn't want to fork out another $50 million in lawsuits. Nobody to blame but ourselves.

Lawyers suck scum period. That's Americas problem, lobbyist and leaches. I was just asking to allow Casey to put on Parker one of the Best off road races before they overshadow it with a Party on Freemont and making money.

Pirch's post was not ironic, this isn't like socialism or communism. If you are going to use those terms it's good to understand what what they mean.

The issue here is simple. You don't want to pay to park at a special event. Even though you could park for free and take the shuttle. It's not just your land. It's all of ours and many of us don't mind having to pay for a special event. For you to wrap yourself in the flag and "freedom" on this issue is beyond the pale. It's insulting to those issues to couch your frugality in the terms of personal freedom. There are many, many more pressing issues than you having to pay to park in the desert for 6 hours or so on public land to watch a race.

Ok. I can't help my self. The irony is so out of controle. So did any one notice the sarcasm from a guy with a race team named "taxpayer funded racing". I get the name. It's cute. But your an American working out side the USA suckling from the tit of big government bureaucracy spouting sarcasm about what might possibly be the most serious issue we have back home.

Perfect.

RDC never disappoints. So many LOLs here.

Are you bringing in Street Tacos carts from Various places in Baja ?

Well there is a Hussong's in the mall at Mandalay Bay....

There are real taco carts in Vegas, many of them run by people from south of the border. When the dude said to watch out for a taco truck on every corner, I thought he was talking about my neighborhood. Many of the good carts are in the lots of llanteras. Decatur and Lake Mead or Rancho and Smoke Ranch are two good carts. Bring cash and speak spanish.

For my fellow coffee addicts, the Beat Coffee and Records shop has closed. The Burlesque Hall of Fame has moved as well. The owners of the old Penny's/medical center building (Fremont & 6th) have decided to make the ground floor into a restaurant. Should be done by the time you guys get here. I'd heard it was going to be a chain place. Emergency Arts is still upstairs.

I forgot about Dupar's at the other end of Fremont for the shakes. I think you can get them to go.

You guys do realize that with open spectator parking during the Mint Knight ranch road was literally a parking lot, this was introduced to solve a real problem with traffic during the race.

Its literally been the same conversation for the last 3 years now.

Spectating is free. Parking is not free. Partly to offset costs, Partly to control space availability. Partly to fund the Mad Media crew's new Yeezy boots and bottles of Crystal...

Regarding land access, that's Purple AF and really doesn't have anything to do with the Mint. Can argue about that stuff and our "rights" until the cows come home but it's pretty pointless here. As noted, only thing left to do now is bring out the usual's who will tell everyone that the Mint sucks anyway because this is not 1985, or 75, or whenever THEY raced it and therefore is no longer cool.

Then as Pat predicted, over 300 teams will show up and spend a week doing all kinds of fun stuff, having a great time with friends and family, and racing their butts off with thousands of spectators in attendance. Can't wait.

Sure, because now that I'm back in the US I'll race less? My truck will be at Mint, racing. Why don't you evict the rodents, pull the weeds out of your cab, and bring yours too? Help make mini trucks great again.

A few people go watch at unsafe spots and make a mess with trash ruin it for all the rest of us.

It's like the gun situation in the US. The few people that misuse them ruin it for the rest of the people that are responsible with them.

Never thought there was be a parking permit required in the desert.

On a side not in selling parking passes in Antarctica to watch the seals migrate, $20. Get them while they last!
