New Round for advisory BLM SRP committee

Good afternoon Have not posted here for quite a while

We all recall the Truck Crash that really shook our sport to the bone

I mean all the way to Washington DC

I really have backed out of land use issues, Caused my family financial
hardship, spending 2 days out of every week going to meetings, POed
people seeing new signs and more closed trails, and endless hours on the phone

I just plain quit

So I am just now finding out, A New SRP group has been formed
Nobody informed me, But dont matter, After being on the last advisory
board, I never missed a single meeting, had to travel from Mojave
many times to Marino Valley California desert district office

All the positions on the committee have already been filled, I tried
last week to grab a few people to apply for a position, But looks like they
are more concerned in the horse community to dictate how our events are
run in California

The best advise I can give, is do some google searching as to when these
meetings are held and GO, And I mean GO,

I am now seeing even more restrictions are put on this community, and
Im sure MORE will come out of these meetings

So my advise, Please attend, Give reasonable input, Because I assure
you, They are not going to advise the DAC with the best or our intentions
Matter of fact, They will do anything to render more restrictions on the
Buggy/Truck Competition internists

I really dont have much other infi to go by at this time, The best thing is
find out the agendas, Times and dates

Thank you for you time

Hey Wayne, it's good to see you come up for air! It's hard for the public to get any info on SRP sub-group meetings. The most recent update on the web page was the first one in over a year. I am curious to see how it goes with Randy being the DAC rep. I have no idea what was done with the last group of people other than in a report in the DAC minutes from several meetings ago. The group was concerned about the Barstow poker run being labeled a competitive event. Having attended the run last November I can tell you it nearly killed the event. Fees for the organizers went through the roof. Sadly it feels like most of the public forums have become a way for gov't to provide a false sense of having any influence on public policy.
