New SCORE Tech Director

Has there been any talk of who might fill the tech director position at SCORE ?

Will this be The New Era where CAD is incorporated into chassis design instead of just stating for no reason whatsoever that tubing size is based on vehicle weight? The first generation of Trophy Trucks were ALL built with 1-1/2" or 1-3/4" tubing, (as were the heaviest Class 8 trucks) a decade before 2" tubing was mandated.

The rule book always said that 2" was required for vehicles weighing over 4000 pounds. The early class 8's were close. Crazy because the only diagonal required was behind your head. I believe that design is more important than the choice between 1.75 and 2.0. I'll admit that 1.75 looks small anymore and 1.5 looks plain dangerous.

The rule book didn't require 2" tubing when the Tech Director was building 4000+ lb ProTrucks.

It wasn't until the tech director saw a roof panel flapping on a class 1 car at the Primm 300 with the cross bar attached to it that it became more clear... lol
