Does any one have any idea how many entries NORRA has received or interest for the rally in September?
here ya go rick looks like you can have some fun with these
Mark:I am interested in this series. I do not think that I can make the September race as we have alot going on in the month. I have the attached class 8 truck. I will make a statement soon about the accusition.
The truck was built by Walker Evans racing for Bill Howard. It is a true historic piece of off road racing history.
I am curious what the events for 2010 season will consisit of.
Minga must have had a different one. This truck is complete. Chris Gray raced it the way it was for several races. I actually did a few updates to it about ten years ago. It got some Sway A Way's, some bump shoocks and some tubes in the interior for safety. I recall that Bill and Richard raced it back then.Mark:
I remember that truck well. I have a pic or two of it back in the day (late '80s). After Bill Howard died, I believe his son-in-law(?) Richard Mann had it in his garage in Tempe, AZ, for a number of years near where I lived at the time. I remember coming home from work one day and seeing a large box truck pulled up to the garage so I swung by. It happened to Rich Minga, who had purchased it and was hauling it back to CA. I *think* that was the same truck or maybe it was another one that Richard had started...it was under construction and I remember it wasn't even a roller at that point.
Good to know... we may be a 2 truck team...The 2010 NORRA race season has a future, Thats all i can say at this time, At this time i cannot comment any more about the future of NORRA, But i can say its going to be there for the long run and there will be a lot of fun like it use to be, So get you old trucks-Cars -Motorcycles and buggies ready
