So I picked up this old Baja bug that was sitting in a yard in Grand Terrace for about 3 years. It’s an old school build. Chenowth beam, Wright rack and arms, AMS spindles, still had one old Mastercraft in it, 3x3 arms in the back that look like Stahl rear arms, KYB’s, an 002 bus box, supposedly an 1835 with a zenith carb, rapid cooler oil cooler, and still has the round style air filter on it. CMS wheels were stamped with the name Jim Guthrie. Interior of the car was completely blue at one point, now faded to a super sweet brown color that throws fibers at you like a cholla cactus. It has done dash plaque stickers from the Salton sea from 1976-2002. I’m just looking for any info on it. This is the second Baja prerunner I’ve bought that appears as though it’s from the 70’s/80’s that was built like this.
