Our Sport\'s History in AutoWeek

Greetings to All:

As you may have read on this forum (and others), the covergence of time and history will join this year at the SCORE Baja 1000 when off-road founding father Bruce Meyers and 1967 Mexican 1000 race winner Vic Wilson try to make the run from Ensenada to La Paz in a new Meyers Manxter.

For those who don't know or understand Bruce's amazing place in off-road and automotive history, check out the very latest issue of AutoWeek, which features a full-color, four-page story of Bruce, the Baja 1000 and the new Manxter. It's a very well written piece by west coast editor Mark Vaughn, and features photography by surf film legend Bill Delany.

This is indeed where our great sport got its roots. As always, its great to help push the sport into the mainstream, and I'm very glad that, thanks to many of you, Bruce and Vic will have their opportunity to make history come alive at the Baja 1000. We look forward to seeing you in Ensenada, and also hopefully in La Paz!
