do i need a passport to get in and out of canada. i am going to whistler this weekend and i am not sure if i will need a passport. thanks for your replys.

when in doubt throttle it out

never have yet, just carry a couple good id's

haven't crossed since 9/11 don't think things have changed

Birth certificate and a valid ID should be all you need.
Call any travel agent to double check, just in case.

ive been to canada once since 911 and never needed a passport just my ID. so just be on the safe side and carry a birth certificate too.

It's actually tougher to get back into the states than it is to get into Canada. If your bringing anything back (tobacco, alcohol, etc.) make sure you declare it at customs.

The guys are all right...just some photo id. I carry my passport with me when going down south, just to be on the safe side, but I have never been asked for it. BTW, have you been to Whistler before? You will love it!
